Introduction

The following article is in fact the Appendix to the book it has been taken from. We consider it to be one of the finest critiques of Teilhard de Chardin currently available - written as it is by one of the most eminent Christian philosophers of our time. The tragic influence of this "false prophet" has brought about the most serious disintegration of the Faith and caused many to compromise the Christian way of life with modern forms of paganism with which our culture is flooded.

The article is produced here for those who have studied such matters; who (especially clergy and students of philosophy) are seeking clear guidance from a trustworthy source, and are prepared to see Teilhard exposed as a muddled and inconsistent thinker. The source book is highly recommended.

The compiler of this web site, as a young seminarian in 1965/6 was nearly drowned in a sea of Teilhard de Chardin and his toruous, meandering so-called philosophy.Though our training was well-intentioned it was in fact a form of spiritual abuse which took decades to be overcome, such were its destructive and pernicious effects. We hope this article prevents others being infected by Teilhard's arogant disregard for his obligations as a Christian, and his failure to keep his promises when he became a Jesuit and then a priest. God help us if many in the Church will not stop treating Teilhard as an enlightened hero, and instread expose him for what he is: a false prophet, and a dangerous one at that!
